Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nursery Registered Nurse (RN) Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approvednursing techniques. The Nursery Registered Nurse (RN) prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients. Observes patient, recordssignificant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patients condition and reaction to drugs, treatments andsignificant incidents. Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assesscondition to patient. May rotate among various clinical services of hospital depending on staffing needs. May prepare rooms, sterileinstruments, equipment and supplies, and hand items to physician or other medical practitioner.
