Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you will provide exceptional care to a diverse and complex patient population, including :
Post-operative craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resectionsCervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeriesPatients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke ProgramHigh volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, as well as medical overflow casesAs part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you’ll gain exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.

Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate patient care.Utilize clinical judgment and communication skills to support optimal outcomes for patients.Contribute positively to the overall patient experience across the continuum of care.Why Join Us?

Illinois Registered Nurse license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Completion of accredited nursing program.Typically, a minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Physical Requirements :
Able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients.Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.Required to operate necessary equipment and manage various nursing tasks.This job description outlines the essential functions of the role.
