Quality Engineer

Rockford, IL

Our heavy mobile equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics and tight tolerance metal machined component and assemblies industry client is hiring a Quality Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer

  • Conduct internal quality audits
  • Facilitate the Part Submission Warrant documentation
  • Assist with the documentation of the DFMEA's, PFMEA's and Quality Control Plans
  • Facilitate 8D, 5 Whys, 4M, ISIR, etc. documentation
  • Facilitate Material Review Board team audits
  • Be instrumental in the use and application of metrology
  • Oversee inspection functions and be involved with product launches, changes and corrective actions

Requirements of the Quality Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical discipline is required
  • One or more years in quality engineering in a metal forming environment, ideally CNC machined components and / or assemblies, hydraulics or pneumatics as well as an understanding of quality standards specific to metal, defense, heavy mobile equipment and aerospace CNC machined components
  • Use MS Office including Excel and Word
  • Some limited travel may be required including for supplier audits

    • Compensation for the Quality Engineer

    The annual starting salary for this position ranges from $65,000 per year to $85,000 per year based on experience
