Recruit Right is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist for a client that we have in Clarksville, TN. Relocation assistance may be offered for the right candidate.
About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive Employee Relations (ER) Coordinator to support a fair, consistent, and compliant workplace. You’ll be the first line of support for employee concerns, documentation, and policy interpretation—partnering with an ER Specialist on investigations and corrective actions.
What You’ll Do
- Policy & Compliance : Interpret and implement HR policies; ensure consistent application across teams.
- Employee Relations Intake : Receive and triage complaints; escalate to ER Specialist to determine disciplinary or legal action.
- Investigations Support : Assist with fact-finding, documentation, and disciplinary processes—including terminations.
- Separation & Unemployment : Prepare termination packets, Tennessee separation notices , and unemployment claim responses.
- Exit Feedback : Coordinate exit interviews / surveys; synthesize themes for action.
- Records & Reporting : Maintain ER documents / personnel files; support audits and management reporting.
- Engagement & Events : Help promote company events, recognition, and involvement initiatives that build morale.
- Performance & Attendance : Track absenteeism, leaves, safety, and productivity trends; flag issues and support approved improvements.
- Leave & Accommodation : Maintain working knowledge of Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, and applicable state / local laws; protect confidentiality of medical files.
- All-Hands HR : Jump in to support other HR functions as needed.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree (required) ; preferred focus in HR Management, Organizational Psychology, or Labor Relations .Bonus points for an advanced degree in a related field.Strong judgment, discretion, and communication skills—able to advocate for both employees and the company.Detail orientation with solid documentation, tracking, and follow-through.Familiarity with ER investigations, performance management, exit processes, and basic HR reporting / HRIS.Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility is a plus.Why You’ll Love It
