About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Research (VPR) to lead and advance its discovery and innovation enterprise. The VPR will be responsible for fostering a culture of research excellence, supporting the development of cutting-edge technologies, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic vision for research, ensuring the responsible and ethical conduct of research activities, and securing external funding to support the institution's research agenda. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to enhance the research environment and will represent the institution in national and international research communities.

Candidates for the Vice President for Research position at the company should have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field, with a strong record of scholarly achievement and a proven track record in securing research funding. The role requires a visionary leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and inspiring a diverse academic community. Experience in research administration, technology transfer, and commercialization is highly desirable. The VPR will also be expected to have a deep understanding of the research landscape, both nationally and globally, and to be adept at building strategic partnerships with industry, government, and other research institutions.
