As such, the Frontier AI team productizes the latest and greatest innovations in artificial intelligence such as large language models, large multi-modal language models, and edge multi-modal models for deployment into Anduril products, systems and business lines.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Mission Software Engineer - Frontier AI role, in particular, focuses on infrastructure challenges as it pertains to the productization of frontier AI applications on edge and air gapped environments. At a high level, the role is expected to specialize in build, performance, deployment, evaluation, hardware and related problems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own the software solutions that are deployed to customers
• Lead the discovery, development, and implementation of workflows and tools for training and adapting LLMs to generate simulations
• Build and maintain test suites for evaluating LLM interactions with simulation environments (e.g., automated correctness and performance testing)
• Design, develop, and maintain evaluation pipelines for geospatially aware LLMs, including customized evals for spatial reasoning and location capability
• Contribute to ongoing efforts to fine-tune LLMs for improved performance in simulation script generation and multi-modal input handling
• Document processes, findings, and results for internal knowledge transfer and external reporting

US Salary Range

$191,000-$253,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and / or training, critical skills, and / or business considerations.
