Role Overview
The Seasonal Call Center CSR ensures the highest level of customer focus, with a strong commitment to the taxpayers of Indiana through continuous, innovative methods to increase accuracy, efficiency, and productivity in all areas of departmental operations tax administration. Experience is preferred but not required. The Seasonal Call Center CSR position will start on January 19th and will work through the peak tax season. Hours will depend on availability. Bilingual skills desired, but not required. This role is at the Central DOR office at the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position starts at $22.00 per hour.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities include : enjoying learning about a variety of the Department of Revenue tax procedures, including tax filing and payment requirements; providing best-in-class customer service to taxpaying customers by phone in a fast-paced call center environment; applying knowledge acquired in training and utilizing resources to analyze and problem-solve; responding to a variety of tax inquiries; accessing data utilizing basic computer skills; communicating professionally using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation; and complying with all ethical and confidentiality requirements.

Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana : This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
