Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Quality Inspector to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that both incoming parts and outgoing products meet our quality standards. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting incoming goods (such as fabricated components) for paint quality, dimensional accuracy, physical damage, and completeness (including welds), as well as final inspection of outgoing pump packages. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and a strong understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities :
Incoming Goods Inspection
- Inspect incoming parts and components for :
Paint quality and consistency
Conformance to specified dimensions and tolerancesDamage or defects during shipping or fabricationCompleteness of welds and other critical featuresPerform batch inspections to verify supplier consistency and product conformityDocument and report non-conformances and coordinate with procurement and suppliers for resolutionOutgoing Product Inspection
Conduct detailed inspections of completed pump packages before shipmentVerify each unit against the quality checklist and ensure :All required components are installed and properly secured
Labels, tags, and documentation are includedPaint and finish meet company and customer standardsThere are no visual or functional defectsConfirm units are clean, tested (if applicable), and fully prepared for shipmentGeneral Duties
Complete and maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and documentationWork closely with production, engineering, and shipping teams to resolve issues and improve product qualityHelp maintain calibration and care of inspection tools and equipmentParticipate in continuous improvement and corrective action processesQualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred2+ years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environment, preferably in a fabrication or mechanical assembly settingFamiliarity with paint quality standards and mechanical inspection methodsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specificationsProficiency using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.)Strong attention to detail and documentation skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesPhysical Requirements :
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working in a manufacturing / warehouse environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery
