Role & Responsibility
- Work with a team of software engineers to design embedded modules
- Create cost-effective ruggedized solutions that can be used across product lines
- Engage with suppliers and manufacturing partners to develop technical relationships
- Implement functional safety per off-highway standards
- Guide team on ambiguous hardware interactions and system integration issues
- Investigate transcending system interactions of hardware and software from inputs of operator and machine through outputs affecting vehicle responses
- Participate in development of strategic embedded hardware roadmaps to support enabling technologies for products
- Write technical, functional, and performance specifications
- Devise systems involving redundancy, interlocks, and sequencing
- Demonstrate precision in both execution and decision-making rationale
- Foster a culture of creativity and support diversity of thought, innovation, and excellence within the role
Job Requirement
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree Electrical, Computer, Software, or equivalent Engineering discipline2+ years of experienceStrong oral and written communication skillsProficient with test instrumentation and data acquisition such as oscilloscopesFamiliarity in CAN J1939, LIN, and 100BASE-T1 communication protocols and physical layersExperience with controller input and output stages such as in body electronicsKnowledge of internal combustion vehicle systems and related electrical functionalityEV and High-Voltage componentry familiarity including inverters, BMS, DC / DC, and chargersCircuit simulation skills with LTspice, MATLAB Simulink, or similarAbility to quickly digest semiconductor datasheetsMicrocontroller involvement especially ARM CortexWhat We Look For
