Job Description

Job Title : Locum Client-Fetal Medicine Physician

Must-Have :

• Ability to perform and interpret ultrasounds (Level II / Targeted)
• Experience with pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH), HELLP syndrome, and diabetes management
• Familiarity with cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurological, autoimmune, and hematologic / oncologic disorders
• Skills in managing complications like placenta previa / abruption and multiple gestations
• Competency in amniocentesis, cervical cerclage, intrauterine transfusion, and multifetal pregnancy reduction
• Experience in performing vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and instrument-assisted deliveries

Description :

This is a locum tenens position for a Client-Fetal Medicine Physician.

The provider will be responsible for seeing 8-10 consults per shift, depending on volume.

The position also includes completing ultrasound reads, with an expectation of up to 40 per day, though this can be flexible.

On Fridays, the schedule will include 7 ultrasound reads and 3 consults, followed by weekend call.

The provider is needed to cover one week per month, with responsibilities for both call and clinic during this period.

Clinic hours will be from 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays, including call responsibilities.

Night call will be from 5 PM to 8 AM on weekdays.

Weekend call will follow a standard 24-hour schedule from 7 AM to 7 AM.

Call during clinic hours will be included in the regular hourly rate, with night call applying once the clinic has ended.

Credentialing will take 60-90 days, so providers cannot start until December.

Candidates must hold a Texas License or IMLC License and be Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency.

Additional required certifications include ACLS and BLS.
