Developer Publications - Car Experience Content Engineer & Editor

Youll be primarily responsible for authoring editing and maintaining CarPlay CarPlay Ultra and car keys specifications and other technical documentation for automotive partners with opportunities to modernize workflows and contribute to broader developer-facing content. Responsibilities include :

• Partner with the Car Experience engineering team to analyze engineering specifications research automaker needs and gain a deep understanding of hardware specifications and implementation requirements
• Craft content delivery plans and schedules and compose technical specifications that clearly communicate complex integration concepts
• Edit detailed technical specifications and other content produced by engineers
• Identify opportunities to modernize content workflows and formats for improved efficiency and quality
• Contribute to app development documentation and HIG guidance
• Passion for learning new technologies and producing highly accurate and precise technical documentation
• Ability to interpret complex specifications and requirements into clear actionable content
• Outstanding writing communication collaboration and organizational skills
• Experience with text markup (LaTeX Markdown HTML XML) and SCM environments (Git / Subversion)
• Proficiency with macOS and Unix
• Experience writing or editing requirements documentation
• Familiarity with automotive systems hardware integration and accessory design
• Familiarity with Apples Human Interface Guidelines and UX / UI design principles
