What you’ll do as an OSP Engineering Project Manager
Oversee engineers and coordinate with customers and clientsBe familiar with outside plant engineering concepts (e.g. copper cable, fiber optic cable)Determine routing of copper and fiber cablesProvide administrative and field support for the outside plant and provisioning processInteract with on-line computer systems that VERIZON requiresComplete all required forms and documentsUtilize telecommunication planning techniquesHave knowledge of PC applications and the mechanized support systemsAll other duties as assignedWhat you’ll need
To be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyHS diploma or equivalentUnderstanding of the complete network, including outside plant portion, digital switching, digital cross connects, digital carrier and fiber technologiesKnowledge of PC software package tools, including word processing (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point) and all on-line computer systems that VERIZON requiresPhysical abilities & exposures
Routinely : sit, stand, and walk frequently; communicate in English with coworkers, customers, and the general public in written and verbal formsOccasionally : lift or move items under 25 poundsSalary Range $50,000 to 60,000 per year based on experience
