Wind Project Management Consultant

The Power Generation Division is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join the Central Maintenance – Special Projects organization. This position requires expertise in the construction and renewables industry, as well as demonstrated experience in project management. The role involves interfacing with a wide variety of stakeholders across multiple disciplines. You will collaborate with and assist a lead Project Manager on numerous Wind Turbine construction projects and various technical / engineering projects. A technical experience, particularly an understanding of mechanical / electrical aspects and field construction techniques, is preferred.

The role is on site in Palm Beach Gardens, FL and requires travel to project sites up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and execution of Wind Turbine construction and technical / engineering projects.
  • Build and maintain project schedules using Smartsheet.
  • Engage with outside vendors to determine material availability, execution schedules, and other essential items.
  • Meet with internal stakeholders regularly to provide ongoing project status updates.
  • Prepare and host pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.
  • Travel to project sites to oversee task execution and provide daily reports.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of project management or coordination experience in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in project coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant field, or equivalent construction experience.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Smartsheet, Solar, Wind, BESS design, and construction.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Proficiency in PM Scheduling software, such as Smartsheet and Excel.
  • Basic understanding of crane operations.
  • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00 / hr.
