Full-time CT / Rad Tech position with 4x9 schedule : 10 : 45pm to 7 : 15am, Monday through Friday / n Holiday rotation schedule participation required / n Flexibility needed for occasional weekend work as needed / n ARRT certification required / n NYS License required / n Minimum 1-year CT Tech experience with solid Rad Tech / X-Ray experience, OR C-Arm experience / n NYS Licensure, BLS & ARRT Certifications required with 1 year duration / n OR C-Arm Experience required with 1 year duration / n Performs technical radiographic assignments / n Exercises complex skills, judgement and knowledge of the principles and methods of CT and Radiologic Technology / n Performs diagnostic radiographic studies as requested / n Operates portable diagnostic radiographic equipment where needed / n Performs Infection Control according to Universal Precautions / n Radiologic Technologist shall have the ability to provide care to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients / n Operates with accuracy : Radiographic, CT, image processors and other related equipment of similar scope and complexity across different modalities / n Evaluates images for quality and demonstrates accuracy of positioning based on procedure guidelines / n Provides clear and concise instructions during procedures to calm and relieve stress for patients / n Maintains competency in two specific modalities / n Ensures that proper radiation protection is used for self, patient and other personnel by use of proper collimation, lead shielding and techniques when applicable / n Demonstrates flexibility in assuming emergency call on weekdays, weekends and holidays in addition to routine hours / n Demonstrates competency in RIS and PACS / n Utilizes system to enter and edit patient exams and charges / n Records other appropriate data, scanning documents and making notes / n Responsible for the performance of radiographic and CT studies with and / or without IV contrast enhancement, which includes, but not limited to, brain, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, spine, facial, extremities / n Follows NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines / n Performs required QC activities / n Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated / n Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, tissues / n Medical benefits 401k retirement plan
