Position Overview

We are seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to oversee QA / QC for our welding operations, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, ASME codes, and safety regulations. This role works independently from the welding team while collaborating closely with the Quality Assurance Department to maintain high standards in welding inspection and defect prevention.

Key Responsibilities Welding Inspection & Quality Assurance

• Welding Inspector must be able to interpret and inspect blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications.
• Ensure compliance with ASME WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and welder / welding operator qualifications.
• Conduct visual inspections and penetrant testing (PT) per ASME Code.
• The Welding Inspector will approve incoming materials, verifying specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests.
• Oversee in-process and final product inspections, ensuring welds meet required standards.
• Identify defects and recommend corrective actions to management.
