Compensation

$60-$70 per hour (DOE)

Weekly pay, full-time W2 position

Schedule & Start Date

35 hours per week

School-day schedule (no nights, weekends, or holidays)

Start date : ASAP upon completion of onboarding

About the Role

El Monte City School District is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse with a valid California School Nurse Services Credential for the 2024-2025 school year. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting student health, safety, and readiness to learn in a school-based environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and triage in a school health office

Support IEPs and implement student health plans

Manage chronic conditions, medication administration, and emergency responses

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student wellness

Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with California health regulations

Requirements

Active California RN license

California School Nurse Services Credential (required)

Current CPR certification

Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health preferred
