Title : X-Ray Technologist
Location : Portland, OR
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-hour (19 : 00–07 : 30), Friday–Sunday
Job Responsibilities :
Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations following established protocols and safety standards.Conduct imaging studies including abdomen / GI, spine, pelvis, chest / thorax, musculoskeletal, upper and lower extremities.Operate radiographic equipment, C-arm, portable X-ray units, and PACS systems.Prepare and position patients for procedures across various hospital settings such as adult acute care, pediatric care, emergency department, ICU, and OR.Ensure accurate imaging documentation within the charting system (Epic).Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide safe, effective patient care across diverse age groups (neonates through geriatrics).Administer or assist with contrast studies when applicable.Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain proper use of PPE.Work independently on night shifts with consistent weekend coverage requirements.Required Skills & Experience :
Minimum 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist in a large hospital environment.Proficient in :Extremities
Abdomen / GISpine and pelvisChest / thoraxMusculoskeletal imagingUpper and lower extremitiesSurgery / C-arm proceduresExperience in adult acute care; able to work in emergency, OR, and pediatric environments.Epic charting experience (required).Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environments and adapt to changing priorities.Preferred Skills & Experience :
Teaching or community hospital experience.Neonatal and infant imaging experience.Fluoroscopy studiesEnema studiesHead imaging (skull, orbits)Experience with GE, Philips, Carestream, or PACS systems.Required Education :
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.Required Certifications & Licensure :
