VP / Director of Finance

Vp Finance

Pharma / BioTech organization is hiring a VP Finance to their team. This position is mainly remote, but will involve meeting in person a few times a month in NJ and NYC - candidates need to be comfortable commuting to both locations.

Responsibilities :

• Support the CFO on financial performance, operational efficiency, long-range planning, and capital strategy.
• Partner with departmental and cross-functional leaders to deliver budgeting, long-range planning, forecasting, department variances, managing multiple financial analyses, helping them to align resources, manage risk and support program advancement.
• Prepare financial updates for presentation to the Board of Directors by the President & CFO.
• Ensure robust internal controls, GAAP compliance, and efficient financial systems and processes.
• Manage scenario and financial modeling for clinical development, manufacturing scale-up, commercialization, and portfolio optimization.
• Lead the optimization of cash management, cost structure, and operational leverage, while supporting company growth.
• Oversee risk management, insurance programs, and compliance frameworks.
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and scientific integrity.
Requirements :
• CPA
• Public Accounting Foundation
• Foundation in Accounting / Controllership before moving into a Finance position
• Experience from a publicly listed pharma / biotech organization
