This employee performs monthly vent check assessments in a timely and professional manner. They are generally responsible for the completion of the vent check assessment and supply order. The employee is also responsible for logging and tracking appropriate patient / vent information.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs remote vent checks in a timely and professional manner
Generally responsible for completing vent checks, logging information following the correct processes in place, and communication to the centers and Regional Healthcare Managers
Provides patient education as an intricate part of the patient care activity according to the patient need and Lincare policyMaintains current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy conceptsFollows applicable policies and procedures of the Safety & Regulatory Manual regarding General Safety, OSHA (includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT (driving safety), FDA, and Emergency PlanningRepresents Lincare through professional personal appearance, patient care activities, and content of written reportsFacilitates prescription collectionMaintains patient records in complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standardsWork Experience
Familiar with equipment and services provided in the home healthcare setting or other experience in patient care RequiredMust complete 1 week of field training with a center RTLevel 1 - Familiar with equipment and services provided in the home healthcare setting or other experience in patient careLevel 2 - Minimum, two years of experience in home healthcareLevel 3 - Minimum, three years of experience in home healthcareMay be involved in training of other Healthcare Specialists

Must have excellent human relations skills to interface with doctors, other referral sources and patientsMust be computer literateLicenses and Certifications
