job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPosition is based on a 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit with mixed acuity including Med / Surg and advanced care patients Oncology and hematology patient population with frequent administration of blood products and chemotherapy Patient ratios typically 1 : 4, but may be up to 1 : 5-6 Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00 to 07 : 30) Must be able to float to all Stepdown / Advanced Care units and may be required to float between campuses within a 15-mile radius EPIC charting experience required No block scheduling available Will provide nursing care to oncology, hematology, and advanced care patients, administering blood products, chemotherapy, and managing wounds and PCAs Floating will occur as directed, with travelers first to float and may include supporting high-risk respiratory or COVID units RNs administer chemotherapy if ONS certified Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required Scrub color is navy blue No RTO (requested time off) will be approved after offer; all requests must be submitted with initial application Active OH or compact RN license required Minimum 1.5 years of Stepdown or PCU experience; ICU experience does not count Documented experience managing a 1 : 5 nurse-to-patient ratio in work history BLS and ACLS certifications required Must be able to pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment Ability to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips Oncology nursing experience required; sickle cell experience and chemotherapy certification preferred but not required Experience using EPIC EMR required Must be fitted for N95 or PAPR prior to working in high-risk respiratory units Travel experience and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
