Job Title : Brazing Operator
Location : Dexter, MI
Pay Rate : $16.50 / hr
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 6 : 00 a.m. – 2 : 30 p.m. (Overtime as needed)
Type : Temporary to Hire
We’re looking for a Brazing Operator to join a great organization in Dexter that truly values employee development and retention. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality work, shows up every day ready to go, and can handle overtime when needed.
This position involves working around three brazing furnaces, so it can get warm—especially in the summer months. If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and not afraid of a little heat, this could be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate brazing furnaces safely and efficiently
- Assemble parts properly, ensuring they are clean and free of chips, shavings, or burrs before loading into the furnace
- Tag pans of parts accurately
- Track labor hours and production counts on labor tickets
- Report part or process issues to the group leader promptly
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area
- Sit for extended periods while preparing parts for the furnace
- Rotate tasks with team members to keep the workload balanced
- Perform other duties as assigned
