Overview
The position works closely with the Presiding Judge and is responsible for managing the administrative and managerial non-judicial functions of the Municipal Court.
Responsibilities
- Works close with the Presiding Judge in overseeing all case management operations including the docketing of court cases
- Researches issues concerning court processes and procedures and makes recommendations to management
- Is responsible for the supervision of employees who work directly or indirectly with the presiding judge
- Is responsible for performing special projects, court initiatives and assisting in overseeing the projects
- Assists in coordinating and developing training for clerks and court personnel
- Assists in reviewing court efficiencies and implementing efficiencies to increase workflows and create efficiencies
- Assists in the accounting and auditing of the financial costs, fees and fines and assists with procurement functions and budget
- Assists in running and analyzing weekly, monthly reports required by law as well as other data that exhibits court efficiencies
- Assists in compiling Jurors for trials
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree (BA / BS)Five (5) years of experienceLicenses and Certifications

A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hireRequired within eighteen (18) months of hire
TMCEC Court level II certificationEmployment Testing
