CSAT Solutions is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of a Buyer.

Role and Responsibilities

Manages purchase requisitions, investigates and develops sources of supplies, prepares bid specifications, issues bid requests and reviews quotations

Helps review, evaluate bids for proper authorization, specifications, and legal compliance

Builds a consensus demand plan by working with program management and materials management on future forecast needs

Maintains required records such as quotes and price lists, blanket order files, supplier correspondence, contracts and supplier performance data

Reviews and executes purchase requirements with principals to support business needs

Examines departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of provided information necessary for the buying procedure

Expedites and defers goods and services as required

Identifies and maintains direct contact with suppliers, builds and maintains solid relationships with strategic supply chain partners

Participates in regular supplier performance reviews and development of improvement plans

Maintains ongoing supplier performance data for periodic internal / external review along with initiating corrective actions as needed

Adheres to agreed-on policies, procedures, and processes that are required by the company, customers, and suppliers

Maintaining abreast of open orders and partial shipments, this must include material order status and lead times

Works together with warehouse supervisors on inventory levels of material

Performs market analysis for certain commodities to gather empirical data to justify purchases

Performs data driven analysis of historical data combined with key inputs on future demand to derive Demand plans that are updated each month

Reviews data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total costs

Analyzes and measures production status and identifies problem areas that inhibit full schedule realization

Monitors supply and demand misalignment with operation sources to implement corrective action plans

Maintains accurate traceability for all records created along with materials & components

Responsible for identifying and reacting to material plans that do not meet customer or company requirements

Coordinates the planning and scheduling of materials / components

Tracks and resolves material shortage and overage issues

Plans and / or implements improvement programs, processes to internal and / or external logistics systems that adhere to agreed-on company policies and procedures

Performs other duties such as data entry (real time, shop floor, etc.), report management and working with cross-functional teams on accomplishing organizational objectives and or company goals

Follows company import / export compliance and general procurement ethics and code of conduct

Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and / or other quality system requirements in their department

May perform other business functions as assigned?

Education, Training and Skills

Bachelor degree within relevant field

Minimum 2 years of experience within a buyer / planner role

Ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel-intra and inter department and company

Proficient with MS office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)???

Strong analysis and problem solving skills and root cause analysis

Must possess proficient communication skills, both written and verbal?
