Job Description

Please find below the details :

Position : Mental Health Monitor / Sitter (MHM / S)

Location : Onsite – Phoenix, Arizona 85003

Duration : 3 months (Possibilities of extensions / conversion)

Shift : 3×12-hour shifts weekly (must commit for a minimum of 13 weeks)

Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience monitoring multiple screens / monitors and observing patient activity
  • Minimum 6 months of clerical or support service experience in a medical setting

Job Responsibilities :

  • Monitor patients on suicide watch, therapeutic restraints, or those at risk of self-harm or harm to others
  • Conduct visual or video observation and report findings to the licensed nurse
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, legibly, and on time
  • Report and document any changes in patient behavior or activity in the patient chart
  • Follow directions from medical personnel and support the safety of the unit
