Position Overview : The MRB Coordinator ensures that nonconforming materials are accurately identified, documented, and resolved in compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role supports production efficiency and quality by collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing material review processes, and maintaining precise records.
Key responsibilities :
Identify, control, and disposition nonconforming material across incoming, manufacturing, inspection, testing, and finished product stages.Recommend improvements to enhance material flow through the MRB process.Collaborate with program teams to disposition MRB materials in line with specific program requirements.Provide daily status updates on open MRB items to relevant departments and drive closure of outstanding issues.Communicate purge containment requests to Customer Focused Teams (CFT) and impacted departments.Perform RMA / Upgrade updates in coordination with the Program Manager.Maintain accuracy in multiple data tracking systems and ensure updates are completed before advancing to subsequent steps.Manage MRB processes within established budgetary guidelines.Maintain proper records of MRB inventory and movement.Lead weekly and monthly MRB-related meetings, including CFT updates.Ensure customer requirements are met for each Discrepant Material Report (DMR) and alert the team when information is missing.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications : Required :
MRB Certification in Factory Logix.IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) and J-STD-001 Certification.Training in LMS MRB Process.Experience in Quality Assurance or Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Pivot Tables) and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).Familiarity with Purge, Scrap, Rework, Repair, and Use-As-Is processes.Ability to create and track nonconforming material to closure using DMR reports.Preferred :
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or equivalent certification.3+ years’ experience in EMS or regulated manufacturing environments.Familiarity with Configuration Management, Document Control, and Fourth Shift / Factory Logix Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).Physical :
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while reviewing documentation and managing nonconforming materials.Move throughout the production floor and facility, including navigating around machinery and workstations.Stand, walk, or move for extended periods during shifts as needed.Position self to access and assess materials stored at varying heights.Use hands and fingers for inspecting materials, troubleshooting, and using production tools or computers.Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed for equipment, parts, or materials.Visual acuity to inspect products, identify defects, and detect safety hazards.Work in an industrial environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and temperature changes.Mental :
Analyze complex production issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.Maintain meticulous attention to detail for product quality, regulatory compliance, and safety procedures.Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Communicate effectively with team members, management, and cross-functional partners, conveying technical and quality-related information clearly.Travel : Not expected.
