Job Description

Educational / Information Technology 35%

• Troubleshoots and maintains an effective Learning Management System site that is consistent with the standards set by the Director of Educational Technology.
• Supports planning for identifying, evaluating and implementing new education / information technology resources.
• Supports faculty in the effective and appropriate use of technology for teaching and learning, both online and in the classroom to meet student learning outcomes and objectives. supports the creation, recording, uploading and archiving of educational content for the 4 year program.
• Technical Supports testing for all exams used in years 1-4, Trouble-shooting with external exam vendor service personnel and MUSC IT staff as needed.
• Recommends computer hardware and software applications acquisitions for the purpose of assisting with the design and implementation of the COM Educational technology plan.
• Manages faculty media equipment and academic technology station(s) and supports faculty use of media in COM special events.
• Technical Support for Center for Clinical Assessment and Teaching.

Classroom and study lounges technical support 35%

Help maintain of all UME Curriculum, Admissions, and Student Affairs webpages in the College of Medicine using the content management system 20%

Regional Campus 10%

Minimum Requirements :

A high school diploma and four years experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. A degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
