Position Description

The RAND Corporation has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Dean, Student Life. This position serves as the primary liaison between students, faculty, and school leadership. The Associate Dean is responsible for coordinating supporting students and helping to build an atmosphere where students thrive academically and personally. Some of the duties include :

• Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute a strategic vision for career services that aligns with the goals of the RAND School of Public Policy and meets the needs of a diverse student body. This will include program development, designing and implementing workshops, seminars, and events that enhance students' professional skills and networking opportunities. The RAND School seeks to leverage innovative new solutions for the 21st Century in this area.
• Career Counseling : Provide individualized career counseling and coaching to students, guiding them in career exploration, job search strategies, and professional development.
• Employer Relations : Cultivate and maintain relationships with employers, government agencies, and non-profit organizations to create internship and job opportunities for students.
• Alumni Engagement : Foster connections with alumni to support current students and enhance the career services network.
• Assessment and Reporting : Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of career services programs and initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaboration : Work closely with faculty, administration, and student organizations to integrate career services into the academic experience.

Salary Range

$88,000 - $130,900 RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate's work experience, education / training, skills, expertise; and internal equity. The salary range includes base pay plus RAND's sabbatical pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken).
