• Collaborate with project engineers, manufacturing teams and customer representatives to determine custom order requirements for material selection, molding process and design geometry.
• Provide expert support to manufacturing molding processes to drive cost reduction and optimal quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis based on inefficient processes and establish corrective action for under-performing operations.
• Engineer for cost control and profitability for molding, assembly and packaging operations.
• Support process design; tooling and equipment specification; price quotations; prototyping; product validation and transfer to manufacturing. Requirements :
• B.S. in Engineering or Plastics, or similar.
• 5+ years process development for Liquid Silicone Rubber.
• Understanding of FDA requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices for medical device and component manufacture.
