This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will optimize Earth-to-orbit trajectories for a range of launch vehicle configurations, including modeling the corresponding kinematic and dynamic characteristics, develop integrated design solutions and assess conceptual designs, and support trade studies on system design and architectures. Other responsibilities include documentation and maintenance of analysis inputs, models, and reports.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Minimum of B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related technical discipline
• 5+ years of experience in trajectory optimization, GNC, and / or mission design
• Strong orbital mechanics fundamentals
• Strong flight mechanics / dynamics fundamentals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

CO applicants is $135,679.00-$189,950.25;WA applicants is $148,014.00-$207,218.55

Required for certain Job Profiles : Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
