Job Summary :

Mercy Health Behavioral Health Institute is seeking a qualified and compassionate Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our esteemed team at St. Charles Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. The Inpatient Psychiatrist will provide medical and administrative services to a diverse patient population, offering comprehensive psychiatric care, including diagnostic, treatment, and prevention services. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient care, working closely with psychiatric nurse practitioners and BHI staff to ensure the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with mental health disorders.
• Collaborate with psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate appropriate interventions for patients requiring urgent psychiatric care.
• Offer both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services in accordance with established best practices.
• Participate in the clinical decision-making process and engage in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to psychiatric nurse practitioners as needed.
• Rotate night / weekend on-call duties in collaboration with other providers.
