Part-Time Dental Assistant Opportunity
Lumina Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Dental Assistant to work in the Stockton, CA area. Qualified candidates will travel by company van to multiple facilities that are located within a designated territory. We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant to join our progressive mobile dental practice.
Position Overview :
Responsible for preparing clinical cart and supplies for the day's schedule and driving company vehicle to various health care facilities. Will assist the doctor with setting up for treatment and clean up after treatment is completed. Carry equipment in and out of the facility, setting up as required. At the end of the day, clean and sterilize instruments. Get a list ready to restock the cart.
Qualifications :
- Dental Certificate and X-ray Certification required
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record

Prepare clinical cart and supplies for day's scheduleDrive to and from health care facilities in company vehicleCheck in with Social Services upon arrival at facilityProvide Check-in and Check-out formsCommunicate and interact with facility staff as neededVerify patient identification prior to treatmentAssist the dentist during a variety of treatment proceduresAsk about the patient's medical historyTake patient's blood pressure and pulse at doctor's requestImplement infection control protocol, prepare and sterilize instruments and equipmentHelp patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatmentExplain instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as placement of a restoration (filling)Give oral hygiene instructionsMaintain patient records accurately and with confidentialityAccurately and legibly complete Patient Summary and other reports as neededOrder supplies as neededLoad equipment, supplies, lab cases and charts into vehicle and transport to and from facilitiesVerify all equipment, instruments, and supplies are accounted for before exiting facilityMaintain cleanliness, inventory levels, supplies, and necessary instruments in mobile carts and units are in neat and orderly fashion on daily basisResponsible for chart / record security while at facilities and during transitHandle and account for lab cases as neededMaintain and operate company vehicle in clean and safe manner according to company policiesParticipate in all training requirements of the companyOnly perform the duties permitted by the scope of your licensure as a Dental AssistantSkills / Experience / Licensure Requirements :
Two years' experience as a dental assistant or equivalent, preferred and desired, but willing to train.Dental Certificate and X-ray Certification required.Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, including sterilization and infection controlDriving of company vehicle required; must have California or Arizona (as applicable) Driver's License with satisfactory driving recordFamiliar with basic computer usage required for online training, patient record access and emailMust be able to lift 75 pounds of dental equipment to carry into and out of facilities and corporate officeCompany :
