job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide professional customer service via phone and electronic channels. Handle service requests such as new service initiations, terminations, meter changes, outages, and emergencies. Explain billing details, payment options, and customer programs such as budget billing or autopay. Assist customers in setting up payment plans or extensions when needed. Accurately document and process customer information using multiple computer systems. Participate in ongoing training to maintain knowledge of systems and procedures. Contribute positively to a collaborative, team-oriented contact center environment. High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred). Strong computer, math, and typing skills (minimum 40 WPM). Excellent communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills. Previous experience in customer service, call centers, banking, or collections is strongly preferred. Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Must be able to provide proof of internet speed (100 Mbps minimum) and a typing test result during the screening process.

ASAP (Allied Staff Augmentation Partners) is hiring on behalf of our client for a Customer Service Associate to join a dynamic and growing team in Peoria, IL .
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality service. You’ll play an important role assisting customers with billing inquiries, service requests, and account updates — all while developing valuable skills in communication, systems navigation, and customer care.
Position Highlights :
- Start Date : January 5, 2026
- Location : Peoria, IL (Hybrid – 2 days in office every other week after training)
- Schedule : Monday–Friday, 10 : 45 AM–7 : 15 PM (no weekends)
- Training : 8 : 00 AM–4 : 30 PM, onsite for approximately 54 days (attendance required)
