Location : Beaumont, TX

Railcar experience strongly preferred

About the Role

Were looking for a hands-on Tank Car Flux Core Welder / Railcar Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining tank cars and other rail equipment to ensure they meet company and industry standards. If youre mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and thrive in an industrial environment we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Perform repairs and replacements on worn or damaged parts (e.g., bearings, gears, pistons).
• Weld and fabricate components using SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW methods.
• Inspect and maintain parts like couplers, wheels, seals, and gaskets.
• Record maintenance performed and track equipment conditions.
• Test systems and components for operability before and after repairs.
• Repair and maintain electrical components for braking and propulsion systems.
• Remove and install parts using pneumatic tools, hoists, jacks, torches, and gauges.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to fabricate or install new components.
• Work in confined spaces and at elevated heights as needed.
