Electrical Apprentice

We are seeking motivated electrical apprentices to join our team and assist journeymen in their daily tasks. Our company is recognized as the premier electrical contractor in Iowa, handling a variety of projects year-round, including commercial, residential, utility, solar, audio-video, and fire projects across Iowa and Omaha, NE. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals eager to learn the trade, participate in training, and eventually advance in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist journeyman electricians in day-to-day duties.
  • Run and bend conduit, pull cable, and hang boxes and fixtures on commercial projects.
  • Install Romex cable in residential and multifamily settings.
  • Utilize hand and power tools correctly, retaining the skills taught.
  • Read a tape measure accurately.

Essential Skills

  • Basic knowledge of construction and electrical work.
  • Willingness to learn and train in the electrical trade.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and climb ladders for 8 hours a day.
  • Valid driver's license.

    Work Environment

    Work hours are 7 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with optional overtime. Our company emphasizes work-life balance and does not require excessive overtime. Dress code includes jeans without holes, professional t-shirts, and work boots. PPE is provided, and specific tools are required from the start. The environment supports learning and growth, providing all necessary safety equipment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00 / hr.
