We are seeking a part-time Maintenance Coordinator responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the parish facilities. The Maintenance Coordinator will ensure that all building systems and grounds are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for parishioners and guests. This role involves managing routine maintenance tasks, coordinating repairs, and working with various contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Buildings

Perform various routine maintenance and repairs including carpentry, plumbing, and lighting

Plan and schedule routine and preventive equipment and appliance maintenance

Conduct winterization activities and prepare report for insurance requirements

Grounds

Collaborate with the Pastor / Facilities Director and vendors to develop and maintain landscape vision and design, as well as carry out routine landscaping maintenance (mowing, weeding, fertilizing, etc)

Remove snow and ice from roadways, parking lots ramps and walkways, including weekends to ensure safe mass attendance

Maintain clean and safe grounds through trash removal and other cleanup activities

Monitor and oversee contracted services for various maintenance-related services through vendor oversight and support

General

Develop procedures for after duty hours emergencies including holidays and weekends.

Maintain all equipment and tools and ensure stocks of required supplies are adequate

Maintain file system for all contracts, blueprints, equipment warranties and service manuals.

Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred

Additional certifications related to electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems are advantageous.

Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, and conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals.

Demonstrates a strong commitment to the values and mission of the Catholic Church, including respect for the sacred nature of the church environment.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for coordinating off-site repairs or purchasing supplies.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address maintenance issues promptly and effectively.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with church staff, parishioners, and external contractors.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for emergency repairs or special events

Physical Requirements

Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.

Visual acuity both near and far, manual dexterity with good eye / hand coordination, good hearing and speech.

Standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting, and squatting also will be required as necessary to perform the duties of the position.

Position requires ability to frequently lift / move objects of up to 50 pounds in weight.
