About This Role :

The Videographer & Editor is a creative and technically skilled member of the Cardinals Activities Board (CAB) responsible for capturing and editing high-quality video content that promotes CAB events and enhances student engagement. This role plays a key part in documenting events, producing promotional videos, and supporting the production of the CAB Cast, Lamar’s student-led talk show.

What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities :

• Event Coverage & Video Production.
• Film CAB events and activities to create highlight reels, recap videos, and promotional content.
• Capture engaging footage that reflects the energy and spirit of student life.
• Editing & Post-Production.
• Edit video content for various platforms including YouTube and Instagram.
• Ensure videos are polished, on-brand, and optimized for each platform’s format and audience.
• CAB Cast Support.
• Assist in filming and editing episodes of the CAB Cast.
• Collaborate with the Content Creators to bring the show’s vision to life through dynamic visuals and storytelling.
• Creative Collaboration.
• Work closely with the Marketing Supervisors and Graphic Designer to align video content with overall marketing strategies.
• Contribute ideas for new video projects and creative ways to promote CAB events.
