POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with managing the application and selection processes.
  • Maintain program documentation and records.
  • Schedule meetings and events to ensure smooth logistics.
  • Support orientation for participants
  • Track program deliverables and deadlines.
  • Assist with stipend logistics and ensure processing accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries from students, mentors, and staff.
  • Help with evaluation efforts and prepare reports at the conclusion of the program.
  • Provide support to two team members handling different logistical areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a currently enrolled . or MD / PhD student at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
  • Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study as determined by the Office of Student Finance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Cultural competency and a commitment to supporting students from socioeconomically marginalized, first-generation, or disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing careers in medicine and biomedical sciences.
  • Minimum Salary Range

    USD $2,500.00 / Yr.

    Maximum Salary Range

    USD $2,500.00 / Yr.

    ABOUT US

    The HCOE-SUMP Graduate Program Support role is responsible for assisting with the administrative functions of the Hispanic Center of Excellence’s Summer Undergraduate Mentorship Program (SUMP). This position serves as a central point of contact for students, faculty mentors, and program leadership, ensuring smooth operation and effective communication across all program components.

  • Signed Program Support Contract
  • Federal Work-Study eligibility documentation (must have filed FAFSA)
  • Program Orientation :

    A brief orientation will be provided before the start of the program to prepare for responsibilities.

    Program Expectations :

  • Commitment to 12 hours per week during the six-week program.
  • Regular check-ins with program leadership to review goals and activities.
  • Time tracking and documentation are required to maintain compliance with Federal Work-Study guidelines.
