Job Description

Job Summary : Knowledgably assist customers in purchasing-processing orders for High Performance / Racing Engines and Performance Parts to businesses or individuals over the telephone, via email and other social media areas.

Essential Job Duties :

Provide customer service in accordance with ATK quality policy

Answers general phone calls / emails regarding sales, technical service and customer service

Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales

Assists customers with proper selection of items

Suggests additional products to customer where appropriate.

Quotes prices and tries to persuade customer to buy today.

Secures orders and keys data into computer and informs customer of delivery date when item is not in stock

Records names, addresses, and email addresses of customers into the computer

Interacts and communicates with all department team leaders and supervisors

Promotes manager specials and sale items to all customers

Makes outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and email to qualify leads and sell products and services

Creates engine build sheets for customer’s engines

Reviews and confirms costs of goods for engine builds to determine selling price with team

Be familiar with ATK’s Code of Safe Work Practices.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge / Skills / Abilities, Essential Physical Demands) : Basic computer and literacy skills. Ability to handle a high volume of incoming sales calls, online / EDI orders and emails. Familiarity with producing sales quotes, invoicing and inventory. Ability to understand customer demands and provide solutions resulting in sales.

Education & Experience : High School, Associates degree from college or university; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of automotive engine is and performance parts is necessary.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities : Must have knowledge of SBC (small block Chevy), BBC (big block Chevy), LS, SBF (small block Ford), BBF (big block Ford) and Mopar style engines. Must be familiar with MS Windows, Outlook and IE explorer. Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of phone calls / email from retail / wholesale customers worldwide.

Preferred Qualifications : Background or work experience in automotive field, must know engine specifications / terminology, be able to design an engine on paper, know about muscle car components and what works (gear rations, torque converters, brakes, fitment, and be familiar with classic cars / engines, LS style engines, up to date with today’s performance parts / manufacturers.
