Mercy Jefferson - Earn as you Learn - Spring 2026

As a student in an approved registered nurse or practical nurse school of nursing, the Earn as You Learn Tech participates in clinical course work under the direction of an RN. The Earn as You Learn Tech assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patient’s highest level of wellness working cooperatively with others as part of the healthcare team and performs designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks within the scope of the designated nursing school program. This position is specifically designated for individuals enrolled in an accredited nursing program seeking clinical experience as part of their education curriculum. Instead, it is a learning opportunity aimed at fulfilling educational requirements and gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare setting. The Earn as You Learn Tech will work under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals to enhance their clinical skills, develop critical thinking abilities, and apply theoretical knowledge to real-life patient care scenarios. Mercy Jefferson Spring 2026 - Earn As You Learn Festus, MO 63028 Mercy's EAYL program provides LPN / RN senior level Nursing students the opportunity to receive a $2,000 (taxed) stipend for the completion of their senior practicum (last semester) at a Mercy hospital. Students will receive structured support throughout your senior practicum with various members of Mercy leadership, including supervisors, clinicians, and nurse managers Build professional connections and secure a position post-graduation!

• To participate, student must commit to a bedside nursing position post graduation- it is encouraged that this is on the unit you are completing senior preceptor hours on.
