What You’ll Do :
- Lead mechanical engineering for conveyor system projects from concept through installation
- Design conveyor equipment, structures, supports, and layouts to meet customer specifications and industry standards
- Develop 2D drawings, 3D models, bills of materials (BOM), and detailed fabrication / installation documents
- Perform calculations for loads, stress, tolerances, materials, and safety factors
- Ensure designs comply with OSHA, ANSI, ISO, and other safety standards
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and installation teams for complete system integration
- Specify materials, components, and fabricated parts for procurement
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning
- Oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site installation to maintain design integrity
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field5+ years of mechanical project engineering experience, preferably in automotive, conveyor, or material handling industriesProficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)Strong knowledge of material selection, fabrication, welding, machining, and structural designFamiliarity with conveyor systems, industrial automation, and material handling solutionsExperience preparing and reviewing detailed mechanical drawings and fabrication packagesSolid understanding of industry safety standards and mechanical codesStrong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsWillingness to travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning (up to 25–30%)Why You’ll Love This Job :
