About This Role :
Answer and route high volumes of incoming calls from patients and external partners; reschedule appointments, update patient information in the EHR, and assist with insurance verification and service inquiries.
Complete initial and ongoing patient registrations, follow communication scripts to identify needs, inform patients about services (e.g., sliding fee scale, referrals), and help them navigate the healthcare system.
Meet KPIs, resolve patient concerns empathetically, and escalate issues when appropriate; maintain strong teamwork and communication with internal departments.
Use the EHR system to manage patient records, monitor call reminders, and support outreach and care coordination across departments (e.g., labs, BH, education).
Efficiently use call center software, ensure compliance with HIPAA / HRSA / state / federal regulations, and participate in quality improvement and system enhancement efforts.
