Position Details

The Director values long-term carrier partnerships, understands the tower sales cycle and build process, and is interested in driving the growth of Tilson Infrastructure. A demonstrated ability to succeed in an autonomous environment is key to this role. This position works with key contacts to develop both towers and poles in the right-of-way. This position also works collaboratively with Tilson’s Telecom Services Division to meet annual sales goals through aggressive prospecting and selling. This position reports to the VP of Vertical Infrastructure.

Candidate is required to live in or relocate to one of the following states : Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, or Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

Generate and source new leads for greenfield Build to Suit towers, focusing on major wireless providers

Generate and source new leads for greenfield poles or existing pole transfers for cRAN, small cell & mid-cell in ROW

Understand technical aspects of Tilson’s telecom services and engage customers in a consultative approach by having a deep understanding of the work, our processes, and industry trends.

Work collaboratively with Tilson leadership, engineering, bid management, finance and operations to source and structure deals that deliver value to our customers

Present opportunities requiring investment to Tilson’s leadership committee; conduct associated financial modeling and assessment of growth opportunities, risks and operational requirements

Track, analyze and report on sales performance and activities in Zoho CRM tool

Develop accurate and timely forecast of sales opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related degree

5+ years of experience in Build to Suit (BTS) tower business a strict requirement

Strong focus on business development in new markets within mid-west and central region

Experience selling poles / services for cRAN / small cell deployments

Demonstrated carrier relationships (AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, Dish) at the market and regional level

Proven ability to drive sales process to a close; must be motivated by closing deals

Strong financial acumen

Experience using Zoho or other CRM platform to track and report opportunities and key metrics

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams

Ability to think strategically while also operating tactically

Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization

Ability to articulate the distinct aspects of infrastructure and services

Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

Passionate about advancing America’s information infrastructure by leveraging current knowledge in wireless and wireline communications

Willingness to work extended hours as needed, with >

50% travel within the US

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of :

100,000.00 - $150,000.00
