Bus Attendant
As a Bus Attendant at Bold, you will be part of a collaborative team of professionals who are relentless in their pursuit of educational excellence. Bus Attendants work closely with transportation personnel and Bold's team to support students while on the bus between school and home, helping to ensure strong transitions to and from school each day.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Assisting students on and off the bus safely
- Ensuring students are received by authorized adults at each stop
- Communicating and upholding safe transportation expectations
- Taking attendance and ensuring students are seated in assigned seats
- Ensuring all students wear seat belts at all times while on the bus
- Learning the bus route and ensuring substitute drivers are aware of the route and stops
- Communicating effectively with Bold team members and families
- Participating in bus safety drills
- Supporting a culture of operational excellence
- Developing strong relationships with Bold's team, students, and families
Successful candidates :
Are available to work daily from 6 : 00-8 : 00am and 3 : 30-5 : 30pm daily when school is in session and on special schedules as needed (e.g. early dismissal days)Hold exceptionally high personal standards for performanceDemonstrate a strong commitment to and alignment with the mission, beliefs, and values of Bold, and to going above and beyond the requirements of the jobHold a commitment to solutions-based problem solvingHold a high school diploma or GEDHave experience working with childrenHold DOE Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT) bus attendant certification (preferred); Bold will work with applicants to obtain certification as neededStart Date : August 2025
Compensation : $25 / hour
