Job Opening : Project Manager – Standalone Services (Solar) Temp to hire

Location : Hybrid –Durham, NC

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager – Standalone Services to lead solar service projects including DC remediation, wire management, QA / QC inspections, module washing, and corrective work. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial oversight, scheduling expertise, and operational coordination skills who thrives in a fast-paced field environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Financial Management
Manage PO-based and contracted solar service projects, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
Track budgets vs. actuals daily and optimize resource allocation for efficiency and profitability.
Project Scheduling & Execution
Create and manage detailed project schedules, coordinating workforce and materials.
Maintain clear communication with field teams and customers to ensure deliverables are met.
Proactively address delays and revise schedules as needed.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication
Act as the primary operational contact for customers.
Deliver daily progress reports and collaborate with account managers to align expectations.
Operational Execution & Coordination
Oversee full project mobilization and demobilization.
Coordinate logistics, materials, and workforce to meet deadlines.
Ensure QA / QC compliance and resolve on-site challenges efficiently.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Uphold safety regulations and industry best practices.
Conduct inspections and implement continuous improvement measures.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of project management experience in solar services or renewable energy.

Expertise in DC remediation, wire management, and QA / QC inspections.

Experience managing PO-based projects with financial tracking.

Proficiency in tools like MS Excel, Procore, and Smartsheet.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and logistics coordination skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic field environment.

Familiarity with OSHA and solar industry safety standards.

PMP certification preferred but not required.
