Seasonal Landscape Maintenance Preprofessional 2026

The Seasonal Landscape Maintenance Preprofessional positions landscape maintenance efforts by operating equipment and performing hands-on work that enhances the appearance and health of assigned outdoor areas. This role contributes to the overall upkeep of facilities, grounds, and plantings alongside the Landscape crew.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and other power and hand tools.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, weeding, litter removal, edging, firewood splitting, and pruning / shaping shrubs.
• Assist with turf restoration to maintain healthy and attractive lawns.
• Help remove invasive plants and conduct targeted weeding.
• Install soil, compost, and wood chips in designated beds, tree rings, and around signage.
• Support plant bed care including irrigation, soil amendment, and planting annuals, perennials, bulbs, and shrubs.
• Assist volunteers during garden and special events, including setup and takedown.
• Follow all safety policies and help maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work environment.
• Provide excellent teamwork and customer service while supporting daily operations.
• Perform other duties as needed to support landscape maintenance activities.
