Associate Veterinarian

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, providing preventative care, and educating pet owners on proper animal husbandry practices. The hospital is privately owned, and has a warm and welcoming, small town feel to it. You will work closely with a large team of skilled veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients. • Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
• Develop treatment plans and perform surgeries as necessary.
• Administer vaccinations, medications, and other treatments as prescribed.
• Provide emergency care and critical care for animals in need.
• Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians to ensure the well-being of animals during their stay at the clinic.
• Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
• Qualifications
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Valid state veterinary license to practice.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices.
• Experience in veterinary critical care is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in animal restraint techniques and handling various species including equine.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and staff.
• A compassionate approach towards animal care and welfare.

Pay : $175,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
