Registered Geologist
Job Description
As a Registered Geologist, you will play a key role in environmental site investigations, remediation projects, and regulatory compliance efforts. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver smart solutions for complex environmental challenges in the construction, transportation, and infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Perform soil and groundwater sampling, analysis, and remediation.
- Lead risk assessments and vapor intrusion evaluations.
- Prepare Preliminary Endangerment Assessments (PEAs).
- Develop and implement Soil Management Plans.
- Support hazardous waste profiling and pollution prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers on environmental compliance.
- Prepare technical reports and regulatory documentation.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field (Master’s preferred).California Registered Professional Geologist (or eligibility).5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering geology.HAZWOPER 40-hour certification (and current 8-hour refresher).Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (., CERCLA, RCRA, CEQA).Excellent communication and technical writing skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with large projects such as LAX, LA Metro, Port of LA / LB, Hawaii Tunnel, and Washington Transit.Work Environment
The work environment includes a mix of on-site and office work in Downtown LA, with 2 days spent in the field and 3 days in the office. The team is growing, with 25 employees and a healthy project backlog extending through 2028.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.69 / hr.
