Description :

The Registered Nurse (ICU) delivers critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions requiring intensive monitoring and support. They manage ventilators, infusions, and advanced medical equipment while closely assessing patient status. The RN collaborates with physicians to implement and adjust care plans as needed. They ensure patient safety, provide emotional support to families, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Position / Specialty : RN ICU

Shift : 3x12s, 7p-730a. No block scheduling

Call Requirements : N / A

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend / 2 weekends per month

ICU RNs will float between numerous ICU units including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Neuro ICU. If needed to support staffing, ICU RNs may be asked to float to MS units. The first week (orientation and precepting shift) will be on the day shift.

Guaranteed Hours : 36

Years of experience REQ : 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU

Certs REQ : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Locals accepted : Yes -locals preferred. Must live within 75 miles of the facility.

Pending License accepted : No

• / day at Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC). A shuttle runs every 15 minutes between Stroger and JTDC
