Vistra is seeking a Communications Analyst to support Department of Defense clients. The Communications Analyst provides communications and project management support for beginning-to-end website development. Assists with creating site maps, defining content requirements, identifying / refining existing content, and creating new written / visual content. Organizes and helps facilitate stakeholder meetings, maintains documentation for website requirements, and tracks tasks and milestones. Coordinates communications and decisions between contract support team, client, and other stakeholders. Works independently with some guidance.
This is a position within 50 miles of The Mark Center in Alexandria, VA; onsite participation and attendance will be required.
Key responsibilities include :
- Project management activities including project schedule management, stakeholder coordination, and communication of issues / risks
- Design / develop content for websites, creative media campaigns, including “storytelling”
- Create website structures / site maps, page designs, and content
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, business, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or marketing1+ years of experience with project management activities including project schedule management, stakeholder coordination, and communication of issues / risksExperience working in a military environment or with military personnelExperience in a DoD or government public affairs shop creating communication materials for military audiencesExperience creating website structures / site maps, page designs, or contentExperience tracking, measuring, and analyzing effectiveness of communication effortsExperience designing / developing content for websites or creative media campaigns, including “storytelling” productsExperience with graphic design, including proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign or IllustratorAbility to provide clear verbal and written communications to a variety of stakeholders in alignment with DoD style expectationsAbility to obtain a security clearancePossession of excellent written and verbal communication skills, with prior experience handling communications, marketing, or public affairs for a large organizationAbility to clearly and accurately convey messages in a fast-paced environmentPossession of exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail for high-visibility deliverablesUS Citizenship Required : Due to the requirements of the federal contract that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required.
