Establishes and maintains effective relationships with youth, demonstrates appropriate boundaries, and ensures appropriate care and supervision.

Essential Duties :

• Acquires, maintains, teaches and demonstrates knowledge of Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA)and Sexual Harassment standards at care provider facilities, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care and maintains a professional environment that is consistent with Title 22, licensing regulations, and established agency policies.
• Demonstrate effective and consistent Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
• Maintain vigilant supervision of youth placed in 24 / 7 care.
• Actively engage and encourage youth towards their treatment goals and in daily living.
• Regularly transport youth to appointments, recreation activities, court, family visits, etc
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation.
• Understand and retain instructions for complex tasks

Pay Range : $18.38 - $22.98 per hour.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications :

Compassionate caregivers wanted to supervise children and youth in a short term shelter. High School Diploma or equivalent degree and a minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and / or adolescents in a social service setting. Must care about the safety and well-being of youth, and be able to provide structure, consistency, and kindness. Must be 21 years of age.

Additional Requirements :

Salary Range : $42,640 - $46,904
